Makes 12 · 20 min + 12 min baking

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream 1/2 cup (115 g) soft butter with 2/3 cup (130 g) brown sugar, then beat in 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in 1 1/2 cups (190 g) flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Wrap 12 balls of dough around 12 unwrapped Tropical Chocolate Squares, sealing them well, and space them on the sheet.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden at the edges, and enjoy warm, while the center is still melting.
