Flaky spirals, sharp cheddar and a whisper of thyme, still warm as the guests arrive: Maison Perrotte’s Tarte Tatin jam, with its caramelized apple and salted butter caramel, plays sweet against savory in every bite.
Makes 20 · 25 min + 20 min baking
- Unroll 1 sheet of puff pastry and spread it evenly with 4 tbsp of the Tarte Tatin jam, leaving a small border.
- Sprinkle with 3 oz (85 g) grated mature cheddar and a little fresh thyme.
- Roll up tightly from one long side, chill for 10 minutes, then cut into 20 slices.
- Arrange on a lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 to 20 minutes, until puffed and golden.
- Serve warm as an appetizer.
