Pomme d’Amour Tea N°14, from Dammann Frères, one of France’s oldest tea houses, founded in 1692, is a warm, gourmand black tea with the aroma of caramelized baked apple, a playful hint of maraschino, and flower petals. Rich and comforting, it makes a fine cup for autumn afternoons or cozy evenings, available in a 100g canister or in 24 individually enveloped tea bags. Serve it with a tarte tatin or an apple crumble.

Recipe idea

Pomme d’Amour Tea Baked Apples

Serves 4 · 15 min + 40 min baking

Brew 2 Pomme d’Amour tea bags or 4 g of loose tea in 3/4 cup (180 ml) of water at 194°F (90°C) for 5 minutes, then remove the bags or strain.
Core 4 apples, place them in a baking dish and fill each with a mixture of 1 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of brown sugar.
Pour the tea into the dish around the apples.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 40 minutes, basting 2 or 3 times, until the apples are very tender.
Serve warm with the juices and a spoonful of crème fraîche.
