A pitcher waiting in the fridge, a glass full of ice, a generous splash of cold milk and a pinch of cinnamon on top: Dammann Frères’ Chaï Iced Tea, black tea with ginger, cloves, pink peppercorns and cardamom, brings warm spices to a cold glass.

Serves 4 · 10 min + 2 h chilling

  1. Steep 1 Chaï Iced Tea bag in 4 cups (1 liter) of hot water at 194°F (90°C) for 5 minutes, then remove it.
  2. Stir in 3 tbsp of honey or brown sugar and let cool.
  3. Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours; keep chilled and enjoy within 48 hours.
  4. Serve over ice, topping each glass with a generous splash of cold milk and a pinch of ground cinnamon.
