Early mornings call for something warm and slow, like creamy oats topped with buttery apple and a spoonful of Hédène’s Acacia Honey from Burgundy, clear and fluid, whose floral, lightly fruity sweetness rounds out the bowl.

Serves 2 · 10 min

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (90 g) rolled oats
  • 2 cups (500 ml) milk
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 apple, diced
  • A pat of butter
  • 1 tbsp Acacia Honey (Hédène) per bowl

Method

  1. Bring 1 cup (90 g) of rolled oats and 2 cups (500 ml) of milk to a simmer with a pinch of salt.
  2. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often, until creamy.
  3. Meanwhile, dice 1 apple and cook it in a small pan with a pat of butter for 3 minutes.
  4. Spoon the porridge into bowls and top with the apple and 1 tbsp of acacia honey per bowl; its floral notes round out the oats.
