The kitchen smells of toasted nuts, and the honey hardens into a crackling shell as it cools: Hédène’s Maple Honey, gathered from maple blossoms in the Ardennes, adds its caramelized, woody notes to an easy appetizer.

Serves 6 · 20 min

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss 2 cups (280 g) of mixed unsalted nuts with 2 tbsp of Maple Honey, 1 tsp of melted butter and a good pinch of flaky salt.
  3. Spread on the sheet and roast for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring once, until golden and fragrant.
  4. Let cool completely so the honey sets, then break apart and serve as an appetizer.
