Who is the Moulin de Maneyrol?

The Moulin de Maneyrol estate is located in the Dordogne, in the heart of Périgord. There is a man behind these flavorful oils: Charlie Le Gallo, who works with what nature provides on his own land. At the mill, the team respects traditional, artisanal know-how, producing oil from walnuts grown in their own orchards. One taste of these oils and you understand why they are nicknamed the liquid gold of the area.

Virgin walnut oil

Made with Périgord walnuts and first cold pressed, this oil is very high in omega-3. Only high-quality walnut halves are ever used to produce it. The process consists of gently heating and lightly roasting the nuts to help all their aromas develop. The result is a perfectly balanced oil: mellow and flavorful yet delicate, with a long-lasting walnut taste. Find it alongside our other estate French oils.

Tasting suggestions

Walnut oil is perfect for salad dressings, especially with a good French vinegar and a pinch of fleur de sel. Use it to flavor fish and steaks, or to jazz up desserts.

Homemade peanut butter

Mix 2 cups of lightly roasted, salted peanuts with 1 teaspoon of walnut oil, and voilà: ready-to-eat peanut butter.
