Fruit and Calisson Skewers

Makes 12 · 15 min

Cut 6 tutti-frutti calissons in half.
Cut fresh pineapple, melon and strawberries into bite-size pieces (about 1 lb / 450 g in all).
Thread the fruit onto 12 small skewers and finish each with a calisson half.
Arrange on a platter and serve with coffee, or as a colorful end to a festive meal.

Almonds, honey, and time: the recipe is old, and it has never needed to hurry. Founded in 1837 in Montélimar, the birthplace of Nougat de Montélimar, Arnaud Soubeyran is a historic French confectionery house, recognized as one of the oldest nougat makers in France. For nearly two centuries, the house has kept its nougat-making expertise alive through traditional recipes and quality ingredients, honey and almonds first among them. Its nougats are still made by traditional methods, including slow cooking in copper kettles. The range spans soft nougat, hard nougat, gourmet sweets, and confections rooted in French culinary heritage.
