- Amazonia, Brazil
Deep in Amazonia, the berries are dried only at full ripeness, once they have turned the color of chocolate. Produced there in small batches, the organic Black Peppercorn Brazil from Place des Épices comes whole and unsorted, with maximum intensity. Hot and assertive on the palate, it reveals astonishing lemony notes that set it apart from conventional black pepper: a pepper of genuine character. Grind it freshly over a steak, or over a bowl of fresh berries.
