La Belle Mèche, the French home fragrance house founded in 2013, captures it in its Mint Basil Candle, made in France with 100% soy vegetable wax, a lead-free cotton wick and a fragrance developed with a perfumer from Grasse. Lemon, cypress and mint open the fragrance; mint leaves, jasmine, blackcurrant and rose form its heart, which pine and rosemary draw out. The candle burns for about 50 hours. Light it in the kitchen, as the house suggests, while dinner simmers on the stove.
