Tea N°7 is a masterful Ceylon from Dammann Frères, one of France’s oldest tea houses, founded in 1692, of O.P. grade (Orange Pekoe). Woody and gently spicy, it offers a soft, round cup of a beautiful amber color, an everyday classic, pleasant from morning to evening. Available in a 100g canister or in 24 individually enveloped tea bags; pour it plain or with a splash of milk, with scones or a lemon cake.

Recipe idea

Ceylon Tea and Lemon Granita

Serves 4 · 10 min + 3 h freezing

Brew 3 Ceylan O.P. tea bags or 6 g of loose tea in 2 cups (500 ml) of water at 194°F (90°C) for 5 minutes, then remove the bags or strain.
Stir in 1/3 cup (70 g) of sugar and the juice of 1 lemon, then let cool.
Pour into a shallow dish and freeze for 3 hours, scraping with a fork every 30 minutes to form fine crystals.
Serve in chilled glasses with a thin slice of lemon.
